A day at the Russian River with my BFF
Summertime is here….and the proper way to celebrate is by a body of water, with your best friend. My friend Coleena and I ventured to the Russian River in the cute town of Guerneville. This town in Western Sonoma County is a prime place for canoeing and river rafting. Guerneville is also known for it’s natural beauty, redwoods, being gay-friendly, and it’s proximity to great wine-tasting!
After walking over two bridges (in the wrong direction), and traversing a sandy hill with our picnic supplies, we made it to our destination. No rafting for us, we were strictly there to lounge on the riverbank and eat. Below is the single photo from the day….I’d say it was well balanced meal 😉
Can’t wait for more summer days like this! Hopefully will do some rafting (and more thorough planning) next time! XO, Melissa
